The fragrance masters at Bond No. 9 New York have returned with their new scent, Central Park West – just in time for Spring. Named after “one of the grandest, most sumptuous addresses in America”, the fragrance is a tribute to both the elegant, historic apartment buildings and it’s legendary residents such as the late John Lennon. Central Park West, the eau de parfum, goes as grand as the actual location by drawing inspiration from the Art Deco, Italian Renaissance and Beaux-Arts styled structures that own the privilege of having an amazing overlook to such magnificent greenery.

The fragrance was designed to capture the essence of “a street so grand, it has it’s own high-power access to the stars in the heavens”. It’s first notes combine narcissus with ylang ylang and a pinch of piquant pepper. Middle notes are orris, jasmine, linden and gardenia – a white-petal melange- based with white oak and vetiver combined with a whiff of musk.

If that description already enticed your senses, then the bottle should be the icing on the cake. It displays an over-sized houndstooth check pattern and an adorable detachable double-row bracelet of pink beads with a big pink floral blossom (designed in-house), which can be worn on its own as a brooch.

Central Park West arrives on-counter March 15, 2012 and will be sold at Bond No. 9’s five New York stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and bondno9.com. Price: 100ml, $250; 50ml, $180; body silk, $130; candle, $110; shower gel, $75.
